Events

The Child Protection Office offers educational presentations and training for children and adults in recognizing and responding to concerns of child abuse and neglect. Find out about events in your area here!

Additionally if you would like to schedule a presentation for your community, contact us. We will be glad to work with you in increasing child protection awareness. We teach children’s Safe Touch programs, work with management, train child protection teams, offer community awareness presentations and table at festivals or events.

Pastoral Abuse

What is Child Abuse?

Child abuse and neglect happens in all parts of society, in all religions and in all races. Child maltreatment falls into four general categories: Neglect, Physical Abuse, Sexual Abuse and Emotional Abuse. Understanding how to identify abuse can help you stop or prevent abuse.

Report Abuse

Often, a child’s only hope is a report made on his/her behalf by a concerned adult. A report is an expression of concern and a request for investigation or evaluation. It is not an accusation. Any person can report suspicions of abuse and neglect for the safety of the child.
